Jeremiah “JJ” Troyer, OD
Dr. Troyer came to Lewisburg in 2010. He grew up in a small town in Michigan and immediately felt at home in this beautiful area. He attended Brigham Young University - Provo where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Psychology. His interest in sensation and perception led him to the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where he received his Doctorate of Optometry degree.
He interned with Dr Whitney Hauser, OD and Dr Rolando Toyos, MD and was able to receive valuable experience in treating a variety of ocular conditions including dry eye, glaucoma, corneal infections and injuries, and macular degeneration. He was able to witness the pioneering of the new dry eye treatment of Intense Pulsed Light.
Dr. Troyer resides in Lewisburg with his wife and two children. He is a member of the American Optometric Association. He served a two year church mission in Nicaragua where he learned to speak Spanish. He enjoys playing disc golf, hiking, and working in his garden.
